Long Overdue

Life has been, to say the least, busy. It has in truth been a whirlwind, or so it would seem, the last two months. I continue to be behind on everything from armour prep for Gulf Wars in just over two weeks to never seeming to get a blog written at all. Some quickly noted observations though continuing with that new category that seems to lend itself to such things fairly easily while I finish enjoying the last cup of coffee before heading out to some family obligations that I have this afternoon.
Starting out the new year right. My goal off the top of the bat is to post daily for the month of January. That being said, my biggest first observation of the year is just how much of a cluster the holiday season between and around Christmas and New Years plays on blog readership. I went from pushing close to two hundred daily readers in the first half of December to barely getting twenty some days in between the holidays. Guess that says what most of you are doing at work, eh? Just kidding. In all seriousness I did not post as much during the that time either, but I am back on a roll now and so without further ado, some of the first of my observations for 2010!
I am sorry, I could not resist the name of even bits after last weeks odd bits. Nothing to worry about if you did not get it. In fact, if you are concerned about people thinking you are are nerd, geek, or otherwise and you did not get this, then at least you do not qualify from a technology and computer standpoint to be a such. Anyway, that being said, I am once again making notes as the week goes along given that I liked the way that worked last week for the observations post. And indeed I had a couple of those today and hopefully will follow with a few more through the Christmas holiday.
I think this is fourth almost weekly post of short little observations I have made over the past week. I am a little concerned though, as this week found me getting my bet inspiration for little short blog entries when I was busy otherwise. And so I have very little in the way of little notes like I would have otherwise and with my aged mind working against me I am not sure that I am going to be able to remember the better parts of what would have otherwise been up in the offering here. For that I do apologize and will try to make a bit better use of note taking devices for this coming week.
So a regular feature going on its third attempt. Lets see how it works this time. First, my sincere apologies for not posting so much this week, especially in comparison to the previous month. Hopefully I will get that going a bit better this week coming up, but I am not making any promises. Pretty much every week between now and the end of the year is going to be kind of crazy with things going on both at work and otherwise. Additionally, I have done something to my back, maybe Friday or Thursday. I can not pinpoint the action or even if there was one, but my mid-back left side especially is a bit painful and slowing me down on all these things too. Well, enough of all that stuff, lets get to some observations.
You all (Old English terminology there) seemed to like it the last time I did one of these lists of things I have observed over the last week or so, or at least those of you who commented both here and on some of the social networks seemed to indicate as much in your raving positive response. To that end, I have indeed decided to make it a regular feature here and while at current time I am not willing to commit to an exact time frame, I am thinking more along the lines of about once a week or maybe sometimes if there is not much happening it will stretch to two. I am concerned though, what will I will use for an opening paragraph next time? Oh well, I have a week or so to figure that one out, lets get started…
