Lazy Me
I really hate to break this to the world, but I have just been lazy. Really as for blogging I suppose it goes back to November when I did the month full of posting once a day. Did that sour me and burn me out? I do not really think so. I really dislike making a posting about all the reasons why I have not blogged, as I am sure it is not really that interesting of a read, but I am feeling compelled for my own sake all the same. It is my blog after all so bear with me, after all it is 6:00ish in the AM on Sunday morning and I have been awake since 4:30ish at least.
- As stated above, the biggest reason for not getting regular posts lately has just been plain laziness. I can not begin to count the number of times that I have sat with the computer and thought it would be a good time to write a blog and have instead done something else or even much of nothing.
- I have felt less then enthusiastic about the process of blogging of late. Coupled with laziness and nothing is going to be done. Get a boost of enthusiasm and small mountains can be moved even with a general lazy nature, because it can be overcome. Again, the idea of me sitting with the laptop in hand thinking of several possible blog subjects and not proceeding is a good indication of just that.
- Break in the routine is certainly a contributing factor. Prior to the holidays, which I know were well over a month ago now, I had a fairly regular routine. The routine included the coffee shop on the weekend mornings and good two hours of my time each morning before work. I have had so much going on weekends that aside from the one at current, I have not had the time to get to the coffee shop and of course this one so far has found me under the weather. My sleep schedule has been crazy messed up, maybe somewhat because of travel but in general just because as well – like my being awake at 4:30 a.m. this morning – what the heck?
- Big life changes on several fronts are in the works. Maybe, just maybe, with all the stuff that is involved on the several different fronts that are what I consider big life changes, the idea of blogging has taken a back seat. Not to worry though, the big life changes will shortly be the subject of many a blog.
- I do really wish I could blame it all on having gotten all my stuff together for the impending event known as Gulf Wars. I would feel better knowing I had everything in order and the thing I could point a finger out to was all the kit being perfect including the clean and blued beautiful armor, but alas, that too has had a case of the lazy and uninterested.
- Honestly, even now if not for the fact that my getting out the door may disturb sleeping housemates, I would have headed out for coffee already and may not be writing this blog either. Of course, the need to trim the beard and shower is overwhelming before heading out and nothing is open as of yet either – so easy to stay in bed and keep quietly blogging for a bit.
- Now of course I am mindful of the recent reacquiring of Pulse by Pink Floyd. For some reason, despite it seeming nature of lazy self absorption, it inspires me to do almost as much Joshua Tree by U2. And of course it has been playing since having been acquired at 4:45 or so. So maybe the doldrums are cured by just having a bit of musical inspiration that was not there previously?
